概要

2021年2月12日，Reddit用户e-robotic在tipofmytongue板块中发帖称想要寻找一段只有3秒的MV来自哪首歌曲，这段MV被意外录在了自己婴儿时期的录像带上。e-robotic透露自己是加拿大人，出生于1993年。MV片段中只有一句模糊的歌词，“The world was so easy”是唯一能够辨识的词句。

同一天，Reddit用户DO_FLETCHING在MV片段中看到NCN电视台的水印。该电视台于1995年1月1日开播，1996年9月14日后更名为CMT。此外，Reddit用户Klevenisms204确定MV中出现的吉他是1993年生产的Parker Fly。

2023年12月4日，e-robotic上传了该录像带更长的片段。录像带上录到了婴儿时期的e-robotic、3秒的未知歌曲MV，以及一段1996年2月20日播出的Scotties Tournament of Hearts比赛实况录像，这是一场加拿大举办的女子冰壶锦标赛。

发现

2024年2月20日，Reddit用户Jadelly_Starchild联系了加拿大另类摇滚乐队Sloan的一位贝斯手后，确认这首歌来自Big Picture乐队。同一天，Reddit用户leerosevere找到了该乐队的专辑，确定这首歌的Big Picture的《Just Passin' By》。

次日，Big Picture乐队的吉他手Asif Illyas上传了这首歌的完整版MV，但清晰度很低。
