概要
2006年11月1日，WatZatSong用户LORRAIN发布了一个15秒音频以供网友识曲。LORRAIN没有提供该音频的出处及其他任何信息，并被其错误归类为古典音乐。在被发布的16年以来，该音频被长期忽视，一直无人识出是什么歌曲，直到2023年4月9日著名的失传歌曲上传者q将该音频上传到YouTube，才博得人气并广泛传播。根据其个人资料判断，LORRAIN来自法国，其用户名可以追溯到Dailymotion和YouTube上一个名叫argentanboy的账户，该账户曾发布过关于阿尔让唐（法国下诺曼底大区奥恩省的一个市镇）历史的二战视频。
有人认为这首歌来自一部类似《壮志凌云》的战争/动作片，因为音频的末尾有疑似飞机引擎声，同时LORRAIN对战争十分感兴趣，且LORRAIN上传的其他歌曲都来自电影。另有人根据歌词中提到“Something spooky like the shade of a ghost”，音频又是在万圣节后一天被上传，认为这首歌是万圣节歌曲。

2024年7月23日，这首歌更长的片段在1996年宝马Z3 Roadster跑车的广告中被找到。在德国音乐数据库GEMA搜索该更长片段中出现的歌词后，这首歌被发现其来自1991年的电影《Ausgetrickst》，歌曲创作者为德国作曲家Michael Hofmann de Boer。Michael曾是一个名为The Subjects的乐队的成员，该乐队的歌曲《Paradise》被认为就是神秘的“Tension Rising In The Air”。
在GEMA数据库中列有歌曲《Into Paradise》，由Michael Hofmann de Boer创作，Martin Nethercutt演唱。出版该歌曲的公司Whitehouse Musikverlag由Michael Hofmann de Boer成立于1988年，所以该歌曲在1988至1991年间录制。
在宝马跑车广告被找到的13个小时后，Martin Nethercutt证实自己是这首歌的演唱者，但其没有这首歌的任何拷贝。
